I will be in Senegal next week until mid january. I'll take my 12m kite and start in Dakar and hope to get some wind there. I also plan to got to Langue de Barbarie (and south, but if I got it correct, it is rather unlikely I will do kite sessions south, because of the wind direction and season).

My question: Is a shorty enough or shall I better take my 4/3 with me?

Thanks for your advice and let me know if someone wants to meet for a session :)

Welcome in Senegal !

I suggest you take your 4/3 wetsuit because now the water is still warm (around 23-24°c) but it should be colder since the new year as usual... now we use shorty (they use shorty, I already wear my 4/3 ;o)

Please tell us when you will be there For your information, I will be in the north along Senegal river at Lodge Ocean&Savane on 27-28-29 decembre.

Dear Lorentz, if you are the sensitive mediterranean type like Bertil, you should probably go for the 4/3. Otherwise, for the Nordic, Germanic or (Non-Viennese) Austrian types, a well-fitting long sleeve shorty should be enough on most days.

I'll be in Dakar tomorrow until 26th, then I might go north as well but the travel plans are still not fixed.
